Donate to Make a Difference

The library acts as a collection point for a number of donations that serve our community.  Join us in our efforts by contributing what you can.

Donations of any physical items are currently suspended. Check back here for more updates.

Things we accept for donation:

Book donations are accepted only during the first two weeks of each month. We cannot accept magazines or text books.

Donate used eyeglasses in good condition in the boxes near the front desk. Reading glasses and old prescriptions are accepted. We work with Metro Detroit Lions Clubs on this program.

We accept #2 and #5 plastic. Plastic water bottle caps, laundry detergent lids, and anything that isn’t flimsy plastic is accepted. We do not accept metal, spray triggers, drink cup lids, or styrofoam.

Dead batteries can be recycled at the large bin next to the front desk. AA, AAA,  AAAA, D, C batteries accepted.

Knitters meet every month at the library to work on charity donation projects.  Check out our event calendar for more information. Donations of knitting needles, knitting looms, and any kind of yarn are appreciated.
