Take the Winter Reading Challenge!

As the temperature starts to drop and snowflakes begin to drift on the wind, you may be dreading the approach of winter, which can mean spending more time indoors. However, just because the weather outside is frightful, doesn’t mean a little reading (and some adventure) isn’t delightful. So, chase away those winter blues with Winter Reading here at the Taylor Community Library.

What is Winter Reading you may ask? Why, it’s the most wonderful time of the year! There are activities to do (from a book), places to travel (in a book), quests to have (with a book), and we’re here to supply the map and a wintery prize! Make reading an adventure by completing our special Winter Reading Bingo Sheet which can be downloaded at home or picked up through our curbside service.

It’s easy, just complete a different activity or reading challenge and cross it off on your sheet. Once you have a line of activities crossed off either up and down, left to right, or diagonal bring your sheet to the library, put it in our dropbox and we will call you to schedule a pickup of your prize, a winter TCL mug. If you are a Taylor resident, you can have the prize delivered to your address using our Home Delivery Service as well. At the end of winter reading, there will be a drawing to win a Roku streaming device. So start today on your own reading adventure this winter!

Our building is currently closed to the public. Curbside pickup and home delivery are available.
