Alice’s Ordinary People Movie Screening

Join us for a special screening of the documentary “Alice’s Ordinary People” with a Q&A session with the director to follow.

About Alice’s Ordinary People: A documentary about Alice Tregay, a woman who fought for African American civil rights in her community. With the help of Reverend Jackson, Alice and others picketed under the title Operation Breadbasket. The operation was meant to fight against racism, but it was mostly designed to stop racial discrimination when it comes to hiring. This film shows five decades of fearless activism and the continuing relevance of Dr. Martin Luther King to the ongoing fight for justice.
