And that every 2 seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood? Consider donating at our Versiti Blood Center Blood Drive to help ensure patients get the treatment they need and even help save a life. As a thank you\, all attempting donors with a valid\nemail will receive a $25 e-gift card. \nThings to keep in mind when donating: \n\nDonating blood takes about an hour of your time from when you first arrive\nYou will need to show a valid ID\nYou will need to answer a series of health questions before being able to donate (to speed up the process you can download the Versiti Donor App and answer them ahead of time)\nBe sure to wear a loose sleeved or short sleeved shirt as they will need access to the majority of your arm\nMake sure to eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of water before donating.\n\nAppointments are preferred\, but walk-ins are welcome. DESCRIPTION:Bark for Books\nRead aloud to a trained therapy dog for 15 minutes. Children and teens can also use their 15 minutes to practice book reports or speeches for school\, or whatever you think will build their confidence in their reading and speaking skills. There are 16 slots open to read or speak aloud to a therapy dog and registration is required. They love to hear all the stories and get all the pets\, so call or stop in the library to sign up starting 10 a.m. August 14! This program is for beginning readers\, kids\, tweens\, and teens. \n*Registration Required
