This is a weekly lab that is open on Tuesdays from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. This is a collaborative\, inter-generational crafting group intended for kids\, teens\, and adults. DESCRIPTION:Teen Movie Club\nYou’ve obviously heard of libraries having book clubs\, but we are doing something a little different this summer. Ages 14-18 are invited to join our first ever movie club! This idea was brought to us by a teen for teens. We will meet weekly for the first 4 weeks of July to watch a classic movie pick at the library\, have some snacks\, and reserve time at the end for some discussion of the film and a small activity. DESCRIPTION:Marionette Building Workshop\nJoin Alex Thomas and Friends in this immersive experience that invites participants to delve into the enchanting world of puppetry. Under the guidance of experienced puppeteers\, participants will learn the step-by-step process of marionette building. Once the marionettes are complete\, participants will be guided through the art of puppet manipulation and performance. They will learn the proper techniques for controlling the strings\, bringing their marionettes to life with graceful movements and expressive gestures. Through interactive exercises and improvisation\, participants will gain confidence in their puppeteering skills and discover the joy of storytelling through their marionettes. Ages 8 and up\, registration required and begins on June 20th. Call or stop in the library to sign up. \nThe library will be closed for Summer Fest June 26th – 29th so if you call then\, we will not be able to register you. \nThis program is intended for: kids 8+\, tweens\, and teens
