What is Audio Description (AD)? AD is a narration added to the soundtrack to describe important visual details that cannot be understood from the main dialogue alone. This enables individuals who are blind or have low vision to hear a spoken narration of a movie’s key visual elements, including, but not limited to, the action, settings, facial expressions, costumes, and scene changes.
