How To: Crochet*
Learn the basics of crochet with our adult librarian, Becky Price! We will provide all the materials, but feel free to bring your own if you would prefer. This event is open to ages 10 and up. During this 3-week hands-on course we will be learning the following skills:
- How to read a yarn label
- Chain stitch (ch)
- single crochet (sc)
- Front Loop and Back Loop Only (FLO & BLO)
- Increase (inc)
- Decrease (dec or 2tog)
- Color Changing
- Double Crochet (dc)
- Half Double Crochet (hdc)
- Treble Crochet (tr)
Materials we will be using (All provided):
- 4ply Acrylic Yarn (Two colors)
- 5.5mm or Size I-9 Crochet Hook
