Something BIG is stomping its way to the Taylor Community Library… this year, we’re going back in time to Unearth a Story! Every book you read and challenge you complete will bring you closer to unearthing some “dino-mite” prizes. Whether you’re a tiny Triceratops or a sophisticated Stegosaurus, our Summer Reading Program has something for you!

Sign ups start on June 24th at our Summer Reading Kick-off event. We hope to see you there!

All ages can participate!

How to Play

Complete Our Reading Challenges

Grab your challenge bookmarks at the library and read or complete challenges to earn Taylor Library Bucks! The amount of challenges and reading you complete affect how many Library Bucks you receive:

Read at least 1 minute & complete at least 1 activity = 1 Library Buck

Do the recommended amount of 1 hour per week & 4 activities = 2 Library Bucks

Do everything on the bookmark! = 3 Library Bucks

Earn Library Bucks to Spend in our Store

Our hit Summer Store is back! Items will range from 1 Library Buck to up to 5 Library Bucks. You can spend your Library Bucks whenever the store is open, or even save up all your bucks until the end to buy big ticket items or enter our raffles.
The Library Store will be open on Fridays and Saturdays from 10am to 5pm on these weekends:

July 31st - August 1st

August 28th-29th

September 11th-12th

*Library Bucks are not legal tender and can only be used in the Taylor Summer Reading Store. Please do not try to spend these at 7-11, Meijer, or any other retailer.

Prizes

Kids, Teens, and Adults can earn Library Bucks to spend on prizes for every challenge bookmark that they turn in. Bookmarks can be picked up from TCL starting June 25th, or download your copies below. Prizes range from books and stickers, to bigger ticket items like toys, scooters, home décor, and more!

Prizes and activities are available on a first come, first serve basis, while supplies last. Once given, prizes cannot be returned or exchanged for other prizes. All prize decisions are final.
