Textile Lab

Textile Lab Textile Lab is a weekly lab for textile crafters to come together and work on their projects.  If you love to quilt, sew, knit, crochet, embroider, needlepoint, or any other textile crafting, this is the place for you!  An instructor will be available to teach you how to quilt, or to guide you on your projects. This is a weekly lab that is open on Tuesdays from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Masks are required while attending indoor programming. Joining our group builds your resume, earns you volunteer hours, and gives you a chance to be heard. Tasks will include helping the library with collection maintenance, programming prep, maintaining the TAG Tiny Taylor Library, and more! We meet every Wednesday at 4 p.m. in person at the library. Michigan 4-H Youth and Teen Textiles

Michigan 4-H Youth and Teen Textiles (Winter event series) Taylor Community Library is collaborating with Michigan 4-H to offer a free event series for youth and teens who have an interest in creating their own clothing & creative fashion items. Each week, youth and teens can learn how to operate sewing machines, Cricuts, and vinyl press machines to create and customize clothing, hats, bags, and many other fabric-based crafts. Family Storytime (Ages 0 to 8)

Family Storytime (Ages 0-8) Weekly sessions take place every Saturday from 10:30 a.m. -11:30 a.m. Storytime is aimed toward parents with children ages 0-8, but older kids are welcome, too. We will sing a few songs and read three picture books. At the end, there will be time for creative coloring, drawing, or other arts.
